The Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management Jersey Half Marathon is a scenic, fast point to point road race which attracts over 800 runners. Started in 1989, the Jersey Half Marathon is now in its 32nd year.

The Half Marathon can be run as an individual or as four person team (each team member must complete the half marathon), alternatively run the 2 person relay with each runner running approximately 10.5km: these options will be available when entering the race online.

START 9.00am at St. Ouen’s Parish Hall, La Grande Route de St. Ouen

The changeover point for the Relay will be in the large gravel car park before La Pulente, Five Mile Road.

FINISH at Le Jardin de Mer, Waterfront, St.Helier

We would encourage you to support the JSAD wheelers that will start at 10am from St Aubins.

Please follow the instructions of both the Honorary Police and marshals; they are there to ensure your safety and the Race Organisers will disqualify runners for not following their instructions. Their support allows these events to continue so please give them a smile.

Runners wishing  to wear MP3 / iPods etc, do so as their own risk; please take care and ensure you are able to hear  safety instructions and other road users.

Numbers must be worn on the front of your shirts and must be visible at all times.

Timing will be recorded by automated timing system and will record both Gun and Chip times, so please do not remove / damage the transponders on the rear of your race bib.

There will be one section around L’Etacq where marshalls will ask you to run on the RIGHT side, this is for your own safety.

For the majority of the race you will be on roads and will keep to the LEFT side of the road and so you will be running with the traffic.

Whilst running on the Railway Walk and the promenade area of St. Aubin please be aware of walkers, cyclists and other members of the public, you do not have right of way and please remember to thank them if they give way.

Run Jersey Events seeks to make the Jersey Half Marathon an eco friendly event. We will not be supplying or using plastic bottles and are looking to reduce waste. Water will be available at the start and finish, but you will need to supply your own cup / bottle. On the race course water (4,7,10 and 12 miles) will be supplied in edible  seaweed pods as used at London Marathon. Alternatively please carry your own water supply. This will save over 2000 cups / plastic bottles from being disposed and reduce the quantity of water wasted.

Please note that runners will be disqualified for discarding rubbish outside of the water station areas.

If the weather is hot there are cold showers along the St. Aubins promenade; perfect for cooling down!

We take your safety very seriously and try to provide a safe environment for you to race in however  your safety is your personal responsibility. Every year we have serious incidents and normally it is through runners not being hydrated prior to the event and not recognising vital signs of over heating / dehydration etc; please read the following advice:

Normandy Rescue will be supplying ambulance and paramedic cover at the start which will then follow the race to the finish where a second vehicle will be stationed.

Please fill in the medical information and contact details on the reverse of your race numbers.

Ensure you complete all personal details, inform of us any medical conditions and provide an emergency contact (ICE) when registering online.

Ensure that you are well hydrated before race day,

Sip water as you wait in the start area (water is provided)

If you feel the need to drink between water stops carry your own race bottle.

Take time to drink at each water station - slow down and drink.

If you are feeling that your heart rate , temperature  and  breathing are not as you would normally expect during such a physical challenge you must STOP, cool down and decide whether you should walk, retire or carry on.

Try pouring water on your head or using the showers along the St Aubin - St Helier promenade to cool you down
